



The 100 Black Men of West Texas, Incorporated , a 501(c) (3) Non-Profit Organization, is a chapter of the 100 Black Men Of America. The 100 Black Men of America was founded in 1963 in New York City following the historic march on Washington,
Chapters began forming in other cities and in 1986, at that point the 100 became a national organization with nine (9) chapters and employed an executive director with a modest staff. At that point, the 100 became known as a national alliance of leading African American men of business, industry, public affairs and government with established national headquarters in Atlanta, Georiga.
Today, the 100 Black Men Of America is an international organization with 106 chapters in the United States, England, Germany, Africa and the Caribbean.
Some of the founding and early members of the 100 included former Mayor of New York City, David Dinkins; Former U.S. Secretary of State, Colin Powell, and Editor and Chief of Black Enterprise Magazine, Earl G. Graves, just to mention a few.
